Brenton's 2 Year Appointment

Brenton is now, at 2 years old, 30.5lbs (77%), 39in tall (between 39 and 39 1/4.. she went with 39 even which is way off the charts) and a head circumference of 19.5in(75%). He is SO tall. I can't wait to get him into sports.. only of course if he wants too ;) Pedi office had one of his shots ordered but it never arrived and hes up to date on everything besides a Hap A which we can't get until September so Brenton lucked out on the shots thing. Thankfully!! He said his penis looks good and normal and that it will still be sore for a while so not to worry. This morning it had looked like his left testicle didn't "drop" and he screamed when I touched it but the Dr. pulled his diaper off and there it was hanging (LMAO!). I'm glad because I was worried there was, yet again, something wrong with his "junk"! Oh, don't I just sound like a Mom.. haha! Anyway, he said hes healthy and on track and no reason for me to worry about anything - which I haven't ;) We get into the hallway to leave and up at the counter are some ladies who work there and Brenton is giving them this look like "just leave me alone people" and they are all cracking up laughing at him! They loved all his expressions and told him "he made their day" haha! He is quite the ladies man ;)

We also got to pick up his 8x10 picture and the picture CD from JCP. I cannot wait to get them printed out and handed to everyone! They will all die in laughter when they see his expressions!

Brenton is TWO!

My baby boy turned 2 today! Ah, that's crazy! :( It went by so incredibly fast. I really am stunned by it. We had a birthday party planned for him tonight at 5 and it was Spongebob themed! We invited the neighbor and her 2 kids. A 6 year old girl and 2 year old boy.. who both just had birthdays themselves! Brenton really enjoyed their company. Especially the little girl. She chased him around all over the house and he loved it. Brenton and the little boy collided though and now Brenton has a black eye, lol. Whoops.. oh well, he will live ;) Anyway, it was a good time and I'm excited to see what his 2nd year of life brings our way!

Professional Photo's

We went and got Brenton's professional photo's done today at JCP. I was so worried he was not going to cooperate and want to run around the store but he did SUCH an AWESOME job! I am SO proud of him. He posed like a ham and would copy everything she was showing him. Oh, we just had a blast. He loves the camera and every time the flash went off he just started laughing his butt off. Such a dang cutie! Makes everything he has ever done to get in trouble float away ;)

Let The Sickness Pass!

Last week Brenton had some (TMI) Diarrhea but without a fever or anything so I thought maybe it was something he ate or teething.. who knows. The next day (Wednesday) Devin gets sick. In the bathroom all day, cold sweats, fever of 101+ - ugh, not fun. Of course you know who was next in line.. me! Only when I get sick, I stay sick for a long time. Now the last couple days I've had a bad cough! I shouldn't even complain.. Brenton hardly complained the whole time and I didn't even realize he could be sick until we got sick. He is such a good boy that way or maybe it's because he is always whiny and moody that we can't tell the difference? Oh.. who knows ;)

Whoa.. Long Time!

So, I've been meaning to get back into blogging but just haven't.. but I'm hoping too now!

First off, Brenton will be 2 years old in 10 days!!!! Where did my baby go? He is getting so big and I miss having the tiny little thing to cuddle with but I'm glad to move onto the next phase of parenting. He is a big boy.. very tall like us. I'm pretty sure he will outgrow us when he gets older. He can count to 10, say some colors, sing some of his ABC's. He likes to tell us "no!" and has a BIG attitude. He can say 4-5 word sentences and talks quite a bit when he wants too. Has said "I love you" or "Lu You" lol always cute to here ;) He loves his Daddy.. always screaming "daddy, daddy". He only needs 4 more teeth (2 year molars) and we'll finally be done with that. I'll be making his appointment with the Pedi soon and we also need to get his 2 year pictures done!!!

My latest thing is couponing! I'm actually kind of loving it. I always thought it was too much of a hassle but when you save over $50 in a weeks time on everyday items, it's awesome! I love finding ways to get free items too like toothpaste ;)

Devin is working and going to school for 10 hours a day Monday, Tuesday and Thursday and also working Saturdays for 5 hours. I hate having to be home constantly for that many hours at a time but I get used to it some days and others it hits me hard. I try not to look at the clock and keep busy! He's taking Summer classes too so that wont be fun :( Ah well.

We moved back at the beginning of March and are going to be moving in July unless something comes up to make it earlier. Sick of living in a hallway apartment building so we're getting a private entry! I can't wait to have my own washer and dryer and so much more privacy!

Brenton's ReCirc

Brenton had his recircumcision done and it looks a lot better! He was groggy and really cranky afterwards but overall has done fine. He knows not to do certain things or else it will hurt. He was prescribed some Tylenol 3 for the pain which is nice because it helps him sleep ;) We waited in the waiting room forever and I was so worried something bad happened because we had heard nothing and what was supposed to take 30 minutes took 2 hours! I guess he didn't want to wake up and they wouldn't put him in the next phase for us to see him until he woke up. Thankfully he was okay and he is doing fine now :)

18 Month D/A

Now that I have some time to write and not be interrupted, I will do so!

Brenton has his 18 month appointment on Thursday. He was 25lbs 3oz (66%) 36 1/4in tall (above the charts) and his head circumference had a percentile of 71%.. forgot the inch/cm amount, whoops.

Our new Doctor office has 4 Dr's. We have seen 3/4 Dr's now and they like you to see at least all of them to get to know them and vice versa. Brenton screams when we get in that room and I'm pretty positive it's because he knows he is going to get shots. After trying to get his weight so many times we stuck with what we got while he was holding onto me so who knows if that is even right.. same with the height he would not sit still for nothing.. screaming and throwing a fit. After the Nurse left I let him run around the room and he always loves doing that to get acquainted.

Doctor said he looks healthy and has no reasons to suspect anything other than him being a normal boy.. but he did say "Wow, he is a hyper boy." Could have told you that one! I told him ADHD runs in the family and he gave me the look like.. be on the look out. He is a wild one for sure. He was talking up a storm the whole time.. pointing outside saying "car, boat" over and over. Dr and I could only get him to say a few words but his constant words right now are car, boat, baby, ball, oh wow, thank you, lovey, yeah, hi, hey, bye, uh oh, ouch, up, duck, moo, dad, mom, tori (Devin's Sister), juice, cup, outside, diego, dora, brobee (from yo gabba gabba..) and a few others but this is what I can think of off the top of my head. He started speaking pretty much overnight and now copies a lot of the things we say. I always say "holy crap" and the other day he copied that.. eek.

Dr said he could have pulled Brenton's skin down on his penis for us instead of the surgery but it would bleed and hurt bad but he said he has done it before and successfully. I couldn't do it. Surgery is still set for Jan. Dr also gave us a book title.. forget what it is but its to help Brenton and us. Dr said to completely 100% ignore Brenton and his throwing because all he wants is attention. You know how hard that is when he throws something at our head or breaks something else? I'm trying though.. but it is challenging.
